sodium tripolyphosphate
- Aug 21, 2018 -

It is formed by condensation of different sodium hydrogen phosphate molecules. Also known as sodium tripolyphosphate. Because its molecule (Na5P3O10) has 5 sodium atoms, it is commonly called pentasodium. Sodium tripolyphosphate can be classified into industrial sodium tripolyphosphate and food additive sodium tripolyphosphate according to practical use. Most of the industrial sodium tripolyphosphate is used in synthetic detergents, a few are used for softening treatment of industrial water, and are not edible; the food additive sodium tripolyphosphate can be added in foods, and the scope and limits are in accordance with GB 2760 "Food Safety Countries". Standard Food Additive Use Standards.
